Breaking New Ground

Brock Associates was founded in October 1980 by Richard A. Brock who grew up on a central Indiana farm. In 1978, while chief economist for Top Farmers of America—now known as ARI Network Services, Richard was hired to be the personal commodity consultant to Forrest Mars, founder and owner of Mars Candy. In addition to consulting on various commodities, Richard managed grain sales on land owned by Mars. At that time, no market advisory firm had specialized in handling grain sales and purchases from a consulting position on a national basis. Mr. Mars became the first client of what is now Brock Associates.

Today Brock Associates is one of the largest and most respected agricultural commodity marketing consulting firms in the United States. Office locations include:
