Revisiting Long Corn, Wheat & Newsletter Focus

Trading Is Hard—And That’s Okay

When we relaunched this newsletter in early April, we said trading was hard—and we meant it. Anyone who says it’s easy just hasn’t traded.

Now that we’re several weeks into the relaunch and have welcomed several dozen new subscribers, it’s a good time to get everyone caught up. Let’s revisit the purpose of this newsletter and how you can use it to complement your current trading strategies.

What This Newsletter Is (and Isn’t)

At its core, this newsletter is about providing actionable trade ideas—complete with entry and exit points, defined risk, and a clear explanation of why we like the trade.

But here’s the key: we don’t expect you to follow every trade to the letter. Instead, think of this as a resource to inform your own analysis and decision-making.

Position Management: Your Responsibility

We want to be clear—this newsletter is not a position management service. Managing trades through email for hundreds of people just isn’t practical.

That’s why we include an exit order when we recommend a trade, but we won’t send follow-up emails to adjust stops or suggest re-entries. We also avoid bombarding your inbox with constant updates. These are ideas for you to run with. If you want help managing positions, that is what our team of brokers is for.

Recent Trades: Corn and Wheat

Our recent recommendations to go long July corn and long July SRW wheat are great examples. Many readers put on these trades. While the original exit orders have technically taken us out of the positions, some traders chose to give the trades more room and stayed in.

We hope you were able to get on board—and maybe even at a better price than our initial recommendation.

Our Focus: Low-Risk Setups

Because this newsletter reaches a wide audience, we tend to focus on low-risk trades. That often means using options or setting tight stops on futures positions. Our goal is to highlight opportunities with clearly defined risk and strong potential reward.
