Of note:
- Corn: National conditions declined by 2 points this week, with Ohio notably down 7 due to persistent dryness across the Eastern Corn Belt. Maturity is trailing last year and the 5-year average, though still within the typical range.
- Soybeans: Conditions dropped 4 points nationally, with North Carolina and Kentucky both seeing double-digit declines.
- Cotton: Condition ratings fell sharply in Arizona, Georgia, and Tennessee. However, gains in Mississippi (+9) and Oklahoma (+10) helped offset the national average.
- Rice: Harvest is progressing smoothly—running ahead of the 5-year average but slightly behind last year’s pace.
- Spring Wheat: Harvest continues steadily, with national progress at 72%, just below the 5-year average.
