Today’s USDA report included some significant, unexpected changes. It was no surprise that USDA raised yields for corn and soybeans, but the corn increase was much bigger than expected, and just as surprising was a big hike in planted corn acres. Meanwhile USDA slashed acres for both soybeans and cotton.
