The June 30 report day typically has the potential to be one of the biggest days of the year for the grains markets, with USDA releasing both planted acreage and June 1 stocks. This year’s reports were mostly non-eventful, with corn, soybean and spring wheat acres coming in just slightly below expectations. But with new grain stocks estimates today and an important time in the U.S. growing season on the horizon, there is still plenty to discuss.
