Hello and welcome back!
It has been a long hiatus as we’ve been working hard here to improve our subscription content offering through the development of a new website, a new mobile application, and an investment in the people here who put it all together. We’re now at a place where we can commit additional time to Spec Newsletter, and provide you with trade and risk management strategies to complement your current trading.
What is the BIS Speculative Newsletter?
- Any trade ideas proposed in the BIS Spec Newsletter will be emailed out.
- https://www.brockreport.com/bis-spec-newsletter/ is where all of the BIS Spec Newsletters will sit.
- The Spec Newsletter is not publicly listed at www.BrockReport.com. (i.e. you cannot find it by going to brockreport.com)
- All newsletters will remain here available for you to review at anytime.
The trades in this newsletter and accompanying commentary is written entirely by David Brock, feel free to reach out anytime. Our primary focus will be on the commodities that we follow closely, including corn, soybeans, wheat, cotton, hogs and cattle.
As you know, trading commodities is hard! Each trade will have a defined entry, profit taking target, and a risk exit – where we get out if we are wrong. The risk exit is the most important part of any trade, as we will likely be wrong more often than we are right. If you don’t believe that, this may not be the newsletter for you. The goal though, is for the size of the winners to outweigh the losers, so each trade idea will weigh the risk vs. the reward to the best of our ability.
Trade Recommendation Components
- Entry order – we will provide you a specific entry order and often also include alternative entries or strategies to consider along the same lines as the official recommendation.
- Profit Target – this is our objective for when the trade goes right. It is meant to provide an idea of where we expect the market to go. This is important as it needs to be weighed against our risk exit.
- Risk Exit – this is our ‘time to bail’ objective for when the trade goes against us. We will always do our best to articulate the risk of a trade. Maximizing gains sounds good, but limiting losses is the name of the game.
- Explanation – why we are proposing this trade recommendation.
- Graphic – we want you to see the trade and how we arrived at our objectives. We’ll include a price chart with all BIS Spec Trades.
We are really excited to have the BIS Speculative Newsletter back up and running. We welcome input and discussion, so if you ever have any questions about a trade or would like to discuss alternative strategies, call your Brock Broker. If you have any questions, please email breport@brockreport.com, or dbrock@brockreport.com.
