Russia is targeting Ukrainian rail lines with airstrikes to disrupt the delivery of desperately needed U.S. weapons to the front and complicate military logistics, a Kyiv intelligence source said on Friday. Such strikes could also cause further disruptions to movement of Ukrainian agricultural products to export ports. Earlier this month Ukraine’s national railway, Ukrzaliznytsia, temporarily suspended all deliveries to the large southern Black Sea port of Chornomorsk, reportedly because of damage to railway tracks from Russian attacks. The railway said on Monday it had lifted its temporary ban on shipments to Chornomorsk. Shipping sources said on Friday that shipments of agricultural products to the port are gradually recovering.
